NaLyssa Smith Carries Indiana Fever to 83-80 Preseason Win Against Atlanta

 ## Smith fever shines as notch preseason triumph.

The Indiana Fever wrapped up their preseason schedule with a hard-fought 83-80 win over the Atlanta Dream at Gainbridge Fieldhouse on Thursday night. The win came in front of an enthusiastic crowd of 14,000, the highest preseason turnout for the Fever since 2016.

Leading the charge for Indiana was forward Nalisa Smith. It marked Smith's second preseason game with 20-plus points, scoring a team-high 21 points on the night. While the number one draft pick, Caitlin Clark, received most of the pregame hype, it was Smith's experience and scoring ability that fueled Favre's success.

Clark contributed a solid 12 points in her home debut, showing glimpses of the dynamic scorer she is known for. Teammate Aaliyah Boston also paced a balanced scoring effort for Indiana with 11 points.

The game remained close throughout, with Fior holding a slight lead for most of the contest. Atlanta threatened in the final minutes, but Indiana's defense tightened up to hold on for a narrow victory.

The win serves as a positive momentum builder for the Fever as they head into the regular season. With a strong core of returning players along with exciting rookies like Clark, the Indiana Fever look poised for a competitive season.
