Knicks Take Game 1 Behind Brunson's Heroics!
Jalen Brunson etched his name in NBA playoff history as he led the New York Knicks to a thrilling 121-117 victory over the Indiana Pacers in Game 1 of their Eastern Conference Semifinals matchup.
Brunson exploded for a game-high 43 points, becoming just the fourth player ever to record four consecutive 40-point performances in the postseason. He willed the Knicks back from a deficit late in the fourth quarter, scoring a whopping 21 points in the final frame.
The Knicks needed every bit of Brunson's brilliance, as the Pacers hung tough throughout the contest. Indiana's bench provided a spark, but ultimately it was Brunson's heroics that sealed the deal.
Donte DiVincenzo also played a key role for the Knicks, hitting a clutch three-pointer with 39 seconds remaining to break the tie. He finished the night with 25 points.
The Knicks will look to take a commanding 2-0 series lead when they host Game 2 on Wednesday. This is a rematch of a thrilling first-round series where the Knicks edged out the Philadelphia 76ers in a tightly contested six-game battle.
